Over the past two decades, qualitative methods have been accepted by research communities for school leadership. Case study research is the most common method used. However, there are many problems with qualitative methods. Few problems remain unanswered and some have come to consensus gradually. Our paper discusses qualitative methods in terms of case studies, multiple case studies, research subjects, theoretical frameworks, data collection methods, data analysis, and research trustworthiness. Our study explores the application of case studies to school leadership research and promotes the quality of school leadership. |
