Evidence-based medicine (EBM) has become a core principle of contemporary clinical decision-mak¬ing, emphasizing the integration of the best available research evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values to guide the delivery of high-quality care. As healthcare systems worldwide increasingly prior¬itize patient safety, quality outcomes, and cost-effectiveness, nurse practitioners (NPs) serve not only as frontline clinical providers but also as essential facilitators of knowledge translation and quality improvement. This article examines the roles and functions of nurse practitioners in implementing ev¬idence-based medicine, with particular attention to their learning strategies, clinical actions, and con¬tributions to building an organizational culture that supports evidence-based practice and illustrating how NPs operationalize evidence in daily clinical decision-making and care delivery. |
