This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and distribution of HLA antibodies in the Taiwanese population. We retrospectively analyzed 600 samples tested at National Taiwan University Hospital between 2019 and 2023 using the Luminex Single Antigen Bead (SAB) assay to detect HLA antibodies, considering a mean fluorescence intensity (MFI)≧1000 as positive. Results showed positivity rates of 59% for HLA class I and 51% for HLA class II antibodies. Heatmap analysis revealed distinct antibody distribution patterns, with class I antibodies primarily targeting HLA-A and HLA-B loci, whereas class II antibodies predominantly targeted HLA-DR and HLA-DQ loci. Additionally, there were significant differences in antibody distribution across loci and in MFI intensities. This study provides critical data for enhancing the precision of immunological assessment prior to transplantation and subsequent post-transplant monitoring. |
