With the advancement of technology digital tools have become more and more popular in the field of education, mind mapping, as an effective thinking aid, has been widely used in learning, memory, brainstorming and curriculum teaching. However, with the development of digital tools, the emergence of various digital mind mapping apps has given teachers and students more options in choosing suitable tools. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and functions of digital mind mapping apps. Through literature review and comparison of the similarities and differences in the functions of different digital mind mapping apps using the“Berrieday Comparative Educational Research Method”, the types of digital mind mapping apps were summarized, including the software type, the mobile device type, and the add-on drawing type. The differences in the functions of mobile device-based digital mind map APPs are mainly the spatial concept, multiple template choices, artificial intelligence assistive tools, and real-time online sharing. |
