Tourists' place attachment is fundamental to the sustainable development of destinations, yet its psychological driving mechanisms require deeper investigation. Based on Attention Restoration Theory (ART), this study constructs a theoretical model of the relationships among perceived restorativeness, emotional experience, subjective well-being, and place attachment. Taking Nankunshan National Forest Park as a case study, an empirical test was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that: (1) perceived restorativeness is a significant antecedent of positive psychological experiences (i.e., emotional experience and subjective well-being); (2) subjective well-being plays a key mediating role between perceived restorativeness and place attachment, whereas the independent mediating effect of emotional experience is not significant; (3) perceived restorativeness significantly influences place attachment through the chain mediating path of“emotional experience→subjective well-being”. This study reveals the psychological pathway from environmental perception to emotional connection, enriching and expanding the research on the antecedents of place attachment, and provides practical implications for forest tourism destinations to enhance tourist experience and cultivate tourist loyalty. |
