Previous research has shown that agritourism, through its interaction with nature and agricultural experiences, offers not only leisure benefits but also the potential to promote health. However, systematic research examining the benefits to tourists' physical and mental health remains limited. This research, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, has led to an increased demand for health tourism and agritourism's health benefits. Therefore, this study examines the impact of agritourism on tourists' fatigue and stress, analyzing differences across socioeconomic backgrounds. Based on this literature review, a structured questionnaire was developed. The questionnaire included basic personal information, the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS), and the Stress Scale (DASS-21). A post hoc retrospective questionnaire was used to design the questionnaire items. Purposive sampling was used to select tourists participating in agritourism in Dongshan Township, Yilan. A total of 298 valid questionnaires were obtained, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. The results showed that: (1) agricultural tourism had a significant positive effect on tourists' fatigue, with the average overall fatigue score decreasing from 2.80 before the tour to 2.53 after the tour; (2) agricultural tourism also had a relieving effect on tourists' stress, with the average overall stress score decreasing from 2.94 to 2.66; (3) there was no significant difference in the effects of agricultural tourism on fatigue and stress among tourists from different socioeconomic backgrounds, except for the significant difference in the stress effect of age. |
