Zhang Ling is an important overseas Chinese writer living in Canada. This article mainly takes the two novellas ''Aftershock'' and ''Gan Passing Zaoxi'' as examples, and conducts a comparative study on the common writing style and plot setting of these two novels. Through the characteristics of psychological trauma and healing of the female characters, Zhang Ling used to use psychological trauma to reveal the hidden pain of mother and daughter behind it, so as to see through the process of fragmentation and reconstruction of personal spiritual home, and show the theme of female self-seeking. In addition, through Zhang Ling's personal life experience and beliefs, the author analyzes the causes of Zhang Ling's writing characteristics such as the interlacing of time and space, the emotional entanglement of several generations, and the exploration of psychological trauma. Through the analysis of this article, readers can have a deeper understanding of the characteristics and formation factors of Zhang Ling's literature, and have different perspectives on Zhang Ling's novels. |
