This study primarily explores the impact of caregiver benefits on dysfunctional thoughts , with self-efficacy and caregiver mastery sequentially serving as mediating variables. The research participants were the primary caregivers of inpatients from six district hospitals in the central region of Taiwan, and data collection was conducted on December 29, 2023. A cross-sectional survey was employed using the Caregiver Benefit Scale, the Caregiver Self- Efficacy Scale, the Caregiver Mastery Scale, and the Dysfunctional Thoughts Scale. The research results indicated that while caregiver benefits do not directly influence by dysfunctional beliefs, they can indirectly affect dysfunctional beliefs through the sequential mediating effects of self-efficacy and caregiver mastery. The researchers suggest that hospitals can utilize psychological support programs or related activities to enhance caregivers' efficacy and mastery, thereby reducing the development of irrational thinking patterns caused by caregiving stress. |
