This study looks at the treatment results of two 8-year-old twins who received oral medication and Dupilumab injections for one year due to severe atopic dermatitis. We explored the use of self-portrait drawings to monitor physical and mental changes in these young children, who have limited ability to express their feelings. During the study, we observed improvement in their clinical symptoms, such as severe skin redness, scaling, itching, ulcers, bleeding, and infections, with only a few wounds remaining. At the same time, their self-portraits also showed progress, with less skin bleeding, fewer wounds, and facial expressions that appeared less sad. These drawing results matched our observations, showing that Dupilumab is effective both physically and mentally in treating atopic dermatitis in children. This approach offers a new way to fully assess treatment outcomes. |
