This article aims to explore the promotion of the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education Curricula and the supportive measures for seeded lecturers training, local government educational administrators’ empowerment, and related resources output from 2016 to 2019. The study adopts document analysis with reflective methods for exploration to analyze the planning, implementation of the promotion, empowerment, and concludes initial results. Research results show: (1) Planning and Implementation: 3, 300 seeded lecturers have been trained, including 108 professors from 40 teacher education universities. Before the implementation of the new curricula of the 2019 school year, six educational administrators’ empower activities were carried out, and 756 people participated. The preparation checklists in most counties and cities are nearly complete, and there have been many supporting resources posted or announced on the CIRN website for teachers’ reference. (2) Initial results: The number of seeded lecturers continues to grow. 97.69% of the participants hold a positive attitude. In the number of advisory teachers recommended to the program by counties and cities in the 2019 school year, 35% have passed the general guidelines program, and 23% have passed the learning area guidelines program. Before the implementation, the overall readiness for advocacy and supporting measures is 89%. To summarize, the study proposes three suggestions: continuing holding the professional development workshops for seeded lecturers, enhancing the curriculum & teaching literacy of educational administrators, and continuing linking between the county and city’s project of improving teaching methodologies, and the overall planning of curriculum and teaching promotion. |
