Collegiality in nursing play a pivotal role in modern clinical practice, influencing nurses' job satisfaction, retention, professional knowledge development, and the quality of patient care. In increasingly complex healthcare environments and under high-pressure working conditions, fostering strong collegiality among nurses has become essential. Interactions and mutual support among nursing colleagues not only impact individual job satisfaction and mental health but also directly affect patient care quality and the efficiency of team collaboration. However, explorations focusing on nurses’collegiality remain limited, both domestically and globally, and no clear definition has been established. Therefore, this study adopts Walker and Avant’s concept analysis method to explore nursing collegiality, identifying their defining characteristics and providing clarity through four illustrative cases (typical, borderline, related, and contrary). Additionally, it examines the antecedents and consequences of the concept. By synthesizing literature, case analysis, and the application of empirical tools, this research aims to develop a clearer understanding of nursing collegiality within the field of nursing, ultimately enhancing these relationships in clinical practice. |
