以〈如意生命－苗栗〉為發想點探討苗栗公共藝術未來的發展策略

With Inspiration from Ruyi Life- Miaoli Exploring the Future Development Strategies of Public Art in Miaoli

2019年，〈如意生命－－苗栗〉以公共藝術作品的身分，進駐苗栗縣政府前廣場正中央。筆者對作品的設置目的與其隱含的寓意產生好奇。因此，筆者以「物開啟場域」、「身體感知」兩個觀點去審視〈如意生命－－苗栗〉設置的合理性，並試圖探討苗栗縣發展公共藝術應該注重的要點，藉著其他縣市過去辨理藝術季的經驗，探討苗栗公共藝術未來的發展策略。

The Ruyi Life-- Miaoli piece was stationed as public art in the center of the square in front of the Miaoli County Hall in 2019. Its installation’s purpose and implied allegorical meaning have aroused the author's curiosity. Accordingly, this study examines the rationality of Ruyi Life-- Miaoli installation from two perspectives:“object-inspired sites”and“body perception.”In addition, it tries to discuss the key points that should be paid attention to in the development of public art in Miaoli County. Further, based on the experience of organizing art festivals in other counties and cities in the past, the future development strategies of public art in Miaoli are explored.
