Hepatic adrenal cortical neoplasms are rare and are predominantly located in the right posterior section of the liver. Most hepatic adrenal tumors are asymptomatic and non-functioning. Due to their hypervascularity, they exhibit radiological features resembling hepatocellular carcinoma. We report a case of hepatic adrenal cortical adenoma initially suspected to be hepatocellular carcinoma before surgical intervention. Pathological morphology and immunohistochemical stains assist in identifying the tumor’s origin. Therefore, consideration of hepatic adrenal cortical adenoma should be given when a hepatic neoplasm is in close proximity to the adrenal gland. |
