A 46-year-old female began experiencing difficulties reading and viewing content on her phone in 2021. She particularly struggled in dim lighting and often needed to remove her glasses to see clearly. The most significant issue was her inability to see the tip of a needle while working with it. Additionally, she experienced dry eyes, fatigue, and flatulence. Her condition worsened in 2022. After switching to progressive lenses this year, her vision did not improve as expected. Following two courses of Lin’s Structure Acupuncture and Massage Treatment, totaling seven sessions, her unaided visual acuity improved, her myopia slightly decreased, astigmatism reduced, and intraocular pressure decreased. These results provide a hopeful reference for Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of presbyopia. |
