The Development of the German State and Nation

我們先將回顧日耳曼人的前來，接著檢視法蘭克王國的興起，再來考察神聖羅馬帝國的建立，然後觀察哈布斯堡王朝的發展，同時檢視日耳曼人的東遷，並進一步討論宗教改革、普魯士的崛起、以及法國大革命的影響，然後審視德國的統一，最後以一次世界大戰、及威瑪共和國做結。

We start with a review of the Germanic peoples. We then move to look into the rise of the Kingdom of the Franks, to examine the establishment of the Holy Roman Empire, and to scrutinize the development of the House of Habsburg. In addition, we shall survey the East settlement of the Germanic peoples at the Middle Ages. Moreover, efforts will be made to understand how Reformation, ascendence of the Kingdom of Prussia, and the had left their imprints here. After exploring the German Unification, we will conclude by surveying the World War One and Weimar Republic.
