Heart failure was a chronic disease affecting over 26 million individuals worldwide, requiring patients to adhere strictly to low-sodium and fluid-restricted dietary recommendations and continuously monitor fluid retention symptoms for effective disease management. This study aimed to evaluate whether mobile health interventions could enhance adherence to low-sodium and fluidrestricted diets and weight monitoring behaviors among heart failure patients. Following evidencebased research steps, we conducted a systematic literature search in databases such as Airiti Library, CINAHL, Cochrane, MEDLINE, PubMed, including references cited in related studies, focusing on randomized controlled trials published up to December 2024. Three randomized controlled trials were identified and appraised using the Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal tool. The results indicate that mobile health has a significantly positive effect on health behaviors, particularly in improving patients' adherence to fluid restrictions and weight monitoring. However, challenges remained in implementing mobile health, including limited patient acceptance, insufficient education and training, trust between patients and healthcare providers, accessibility of devices, and the rapid evolution of technology. Future studies should further explore the long-term impact of mobile health and optimize its design and applications to provide more comprehensive clinical support for heart failure patients. |
