In medical practice, the duty to inform is an important principle that medical personnel should perform, which involves informing patients of the potential risks, benefits, and alternatives of medical treatment or surgery. The purpose of informed consent is to ensure that the patient has all the necessary information to make an informed decision about medical treatment. Informed consent is also one of the current policies of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Failure to obtain informed consent from patients may result in legal liability, especially in the practice of the use of Do Not Resuscitate Consent (DNR). Through case study, this paper hopes to understand the issues related to the promotion of consent forms for DNR in hospitals. By explaining and understanding patients, making good use of consent forms can help avoid medical disputes and reduce the number of medical disputes between doctors and patients. The communication gap allows medical service providers to reduce business risks and protect their own rights and interests. This will enhance the risk management concept of medical practitioners and ensure that patients receive the best possible treatment, achieving a win-win situation. |
