The high-temperature physical properties of multi-component oxide melts play a crucial role in high-temperature fields such as steelmaking, welding processes, and continuous casting processes. For example, in the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking process, the production of superior foaming slag is a critical issue due to its ability to effectively reduce power consumption. The high-temperature physical properties of multi-component oxide melts, such as viscosity, surface tension, and density, directly and significantly influence the quality and characteristics of foaming slag. This study introduces high-temperature measurement devices for viscosity, surface tension, and density, followed by an accuracy evaluation using melts with known properties. Finally, the interrelationships among high-temperature physical properties are demonstrated using slagging agents for the Electric Arc Furnace as an example. |
