Since This study aims to understand the life experiences of individuals with unilateral hearing loss in family, school, and workplace settings. Using a qualitative research approach, data was collected, organized, and analyzed through semi-structured interviews. Participants were selected through purposive sampling, with six individuals aged between 21 and 32 years participating in the study. The findings reveal that, in family settings, responses and support from family members significantly influence participants’self-identity. In school settings, teacher support plays a crucial role in fostering communication and interaction with peers and improving academic performance. In workplace settings, the level of friendliness impacts participants’communication and task completion. The researcher hopes that this study will provide relevant organizations with reference materials for service provision, raising public awareness of individuals with unilateral hearing loss and ensuring they receive appropriate services. |
