Professional development could enable preschool educators to acquire new knowledge, skills and toimprove their professional practice. Analyzing its influencing factors from a cross-level analysis wouldfacilitate a deeper understanding. This study focused on the influence of the knowledge management atthe individual level, and of the organizational learning at the group level, on the professional developmentof preschool educators. The sample consisted of 219 educators from 35 preschools in Taiwan. Thefindings showed that knowledge transformation and knowledge diffusion directly affected the teachers’professional development. On the other hand, team learning had a positive moderating effect on therelationships among knowledge innovation and educators’professional development. Based on thediscussion of these results, the study also provided some suggestions for future research. |
