Drawing on the resource-based view (RBV), the objective of this research is to investigate the effects of the big data analytics (BDA) capabilities and logistics service capabilities (LSC) on organizational performance (OP) in terms of customer performance (CP) and financial performance (FP) in the liner shipping services industry in Taiwan. A structural equation modeling (SEM) approach is employed to test the causal relations between BDA, LSC, CP, and FP. Data collected from 107 practitioners from the liner shipping companies, agencies, and freight forwarders. The research findings indicate that BDA capabilities positively affected LSC and FP, LSC positively affected CP, and CP had a positive influence on FP. This research found that LSC played a mediating role between BDA and CP, while CP mediates the relationships between LSC and FP. Managerial implications and strategic suggestions for the development of the BDA and the improvement of LSC for liner shipping services industry were discussed. |
