The changing family structure due to the low birth rate and aging population worldwide has made people treat pets as family members or even children for companionship. As pets become more important in people's lives and the pet market grows, the tourism industry has huge potential for developing business opportunities. The number of "pet-friendly hotels" is also increasing, along with the demand and research on related issues. In this study, we will use literature analysis method to filter relevant literature by keywords and use MAXQDA as an analysis tool to code and categorize the literature into four themes: motivations for raising pets, pet trends, economic development, and challenges faced in responding to pet trends. We will find out that society has a negative attitude towards the development of pets. The discussion of the topic is clearly rising. It will help us understand the current situation of pet-friendly hotels in domestic and foreign markets and provide implications for industry, government policies and academia. |
