COVID-19 has seriously affected the health and quality of life of human beings. Medical staffs must care for patients and develop strategies to cure patients as quick as possible. This study presents the basic information, treatment methods and symptoms of COVID-19. Retrospective medical records are retrieved from 2020.01.01 to 2020.12.31. A total of six confirmed COVID-19 cases in as medical center were levied. Anonymous medical records were provided by the Temporary Funding Center to analyze the symptoms and the treatment process. The six confirmed cases of COVID-19 all had travel history and contact history. They scored 0.67 on average in an emotional stress assessment and had significant sleep difficulties and anxiety. The treatment methods included the use of antibiotics to control pneumonia, the use of antiviral drugs and traditional Chinese medicine to address viruses and the use of immunomodulatory drugs to increase immunity and to treat mild symptoms. COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms must be quarantined to prevent the virus transmission. Symptomatic treatment is the most effective method to control infection in the early stage of the infectious disease. In the future, there might be other infectious diseases. With this experience, medical personnel must remain calm and actively seek treatment methods, fight against virus attacks, and prevent the continued spread of the disease. |
