Sports in children play a very important role in lifelong healthy life. The importance of children’s sports is self-evident, with the following six major items: 1. Stimulate brain growth and integration; 2. Improve the development of the nervous system; 3. Enhance physical function and immunity; 4. Improve emotional and social skills; 5. Enhance parent-child relationship; 6. Improve the developmental delay of special children. Motor stimulation before the age of 6 years can lay the foundation for future learning ability. The period between 0 and 6 years of age is the very fast development of the brain nervous system, and the stimulation of children’s physical experience and movements in this stage can not only create a healthy foundation for children, but also build the foundation of children’s self-confidence. The general direction of children’s sports adheres to the following five principles: regular and quantitative exercise habits, taking into account fun and exercise effects, adopting a reasonable and gradual amount of exercise, paying attention to the exercise process rather than the result, and the company of parents is the key to promoting the formation of exercise habits. However, there are three major problems with children’s sports in Taiwan: insufficient time, insufficient intensity, and lack of exercise habits by parents. Finally, sport is more than just sport. Sport is also an educational model called physical education. The reason why physical education exists in the education system is truly no substitute in the education system because sports is an education for“Life Simulator”. |
