The high-speed rail extends to Pingtung, from Kaohsiung Zuoying Station across Gaoping River to Pingtung Liukuaicuoshe Station, with a total length of 17.5 kilometers, the construction cost is about 55.4 billion yuan, and is scheduled to be completed in 9 years. After the extension, the possibility of further extension is retained, and the round-the-island high-speed rail is promoted step by step. The main purpose of this article is to discuss the diseconomies of scale and difficulties faced by the high-speed rail station in Liukuaicuo, Pingtung. Because it deviates from the core of the Kaohsiung metropolis, it is also far away from the urban area of Pingtung. The city is where industries, transportation routes, and population are concentrated. It is the stage for economic activities. If the high-density area is rebuilt with a new railway and station, the service will be affected. Through the analysis of literature and data, we can understand the background, explain the current situation, and speculate on the future. The reason for the East, the geographical location and population distribution of Pingtung, etc., explain the characteristics of railway transportation and the trend of changes in Taiwan's population structure, combined with relevant information such as the high-speed rail around the island, and then provide conclusions and suggestions. |
