The current study examined the learning outcomes of Taiwanese undergraduate students who majored Spanish and studied(Applying Spanish to Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language)as one-on-one tutors through Massive Online Open Courses(MOOCs). From the teaching perspective, the researchers investigated whether this instructional design of telecollaboration can help students to raise their motivation for autonomous learning, The action strategy of this teaching practice plan was to transform the said MOOCs,“Aprender Chino Viajando Formosa”for Spanish speakers in Latin America, into a training space for those Taiwanese students to teach Chinese and introduce Taiwan. They will engage in various language exchange activities in the framework of“telecollaboration”to gain practical teaching and learning-by-doing experience. The researchers observed the teaching advantages that enhanced Taiwanese students to become Chinese teachers via online flipped teaching and‘MOOCs. This study used multiple assessment tools, such as studying the platform records of the learning outcomes from E-learning platform in the Taiwanese university and MOOCS, pre-test and post-test questionnaires, learning satisfaction surveys, etc., to analyze the learning outcomes. This plan aimed to create the reciprocated values of teaching and learning, as well to train local students as future Chinese language teachers, continue to optimize the use of MOOCs as a platform, and further benefit more students from Spanish-speaking countries to learn Chinese. |
