This study analyzed the contents of visual impairment-related journals that were searched in online search databases for 16 years, from 2005 to 2020. A total of 108 articles and researches were collected in this study. They were then rounded and analyzed according to the number of articles each year, the academic backgrounds of the researchers and their departments, research topics and research methods. The findings are as follows: (1) In the past 16 years, the most number of papers was 11 journal papers related to visual impairment in 2014 (2) The study of visual impairment was still the largest in the education category, (3) The largest category of subjects was scientific and technological studies for visual impairments, (4) The most research methods are mixed studies and (5) The largest number of research subjects are other types of research, while the study of people is the largest study of the school-age population. This article is based on the results of the study and makes recommendations for future research. |
