YUKARI, haiku magazine, was revealed in Taipei , Taiwan, in October, 1921. I n this essay, the ear ly time o f YUKARI Haiku Ci rcle is defined as the period from 1921 to 1926. At this time, the concern of the YUKARI Haiku Ci rcle aimed at promoting “Taiwan Haiku” in which the concept of “Taiwanese color” was an important issue in the Mei j i period. In addi t ion , the issues such as the “rejection of Tsukinami -Haiku”, “the compil at ion of local Saijiki ” , “the presentation of local style”, and “the development and the research of the seasonal themes and materials” were taken up as extensions of which mentioned above. The essay focuses o n the Taiwanese haiku worl d in the late Taisho era. With tracing the literature o f the time, the reviews on the followings are submi tted. Taiwanese haiku poets tr ied to promote the New School Haiku and decline using Tsukinami Haiku. In addition, they attempted to b r ing out Taiwan local style, and the efforts of Taiwanese Haiku poets in the l ate Taisho era paid off to introduce the authentic Taiwan Haiku by keeping breaking through Taiwanese Tsukinami -Haiku abundantly. |
