Just as a Ripened Olive Might Fall

生命終局之前，現世人生之諸般價值悄然失去重量。這個過程，我們無從得知於所有人的最後想法，或許只能從思想家的歷史遺痕中找到不同方向的印證或反證。然而，思想連結於人間價值，其本身當然可以做為獨立運作的對象，但思想同時也受到身體功能、環境變遷或其他因素，特別是宗教因素的影響，而於死亡之前可能對於自身一生思維產生再評估，從而使現世人生諸般價值失去原有的光環。本文假定這般的過程與時序，乃是上天的賜禮，從而使人們能夠走向悲欣交集的溫柔安息。

In front of the destination of life, the worth of earthly values has lost their weight. We can never seek out this mental process from every ordinary creature except from the historical heritage of the few thinkers. The act or react of thinkers shows different manners. Of course the thought of thinkers can be evaluated independently, however the functions of body, the change of the world and others, especially the religious impact, can also influence the content of thinking and thus make us re-evaluate our earthly values before the coming of death. The author supposes that the whole process can be seen as a gift, only which can lead us to resting place tenderly with intersection of both grief and joy.
