Zeng Keduan (also romanised as Tseng Ke Tuan, cognomen Lüchuan, 1900-1975) of Fuzhou was a famous ancient-style prose writer, poet, and calligrapher in recent times. He was taught by the ancient-style prose master Wu Kaisheng (Beiqiang) in his early years and was appreciated by Ye Gongchuo, Zheng Hongnian, and Kong Xiangxi. He had worked at the Transport Department, Industry Department, National Chi Nan University and the headquarter of Central Bank of Shanghai. Zeng was an expert in poetry, prose, and calligraphy, and had corresponded with Lin Shu, Chen Yan, Lin Gengbai, Zhang Shizhao, Shen Yinmo, and Zhao Xi. Qian, Jibo praised him as the succeeding representative poet of Tongguang-style in his Xiandai Zhongguo wenxueshi. Zeng came to Hong Kong in 1950 and had subsequently taught at New Asia College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Baptist College. He enjoyed a great reputation, and had worked with Zhang Daqian, Yi Junzuo, Zheng Shuixin, Zhao Zunyue, and Jao Tsung-i. His edited works include Hanfulou shi, Songjulu shicun, Songjulu wencun, Songjulu wencun conggao, Fengqiong chouchangshi, Zeng shi jiaxue, Fuzhou Zeng shi shi'er shi shilue, and Tongzhou Fan shi shi'er shi shilue.
