Objectives: To identify hardship cases and avoid medical disputes. Methods: Upon contracting COVID-19, a patient required considerable assistance with activities of daily living and needed a wheelchair. Where and how to care for the patient was uncertain, but the medical team assisted in finding a care facility appropriate to the patient's needs. Results: The patient was settled in a satisfactory care center, and this prevented disputes among the family, patient, and hospital. Conclusions: Medical teams must be alert to medical disputes and work together to resolve them. This depends on the establishment of trusting relationships with patients and their families. |
