Swimming is a sport that attach importance to skill and speed. Different from the movement on land, swimming has formed four common swimming styles by the special environment. These styles are butterfly stroke, backstroke, breaststroke, and crawl swimming. There are also some differences between these strokes. In swimming evaluations, the consistency and stability are one of the indicators of swimmers' performance. Stroke is the acceleration of swimmers through their upper limbs, and it is also the main driving force in the water. The performance of swimming can be evaluated by the consistency, stability, and frequency of the strokes. In the past, the evaluation of swimming mainly depended on the image analysis of underwater cameras. In recent years, due to the rapid development of science and technology, wireless inertial sensor has been gradually applied to swimming and the swimming movement has analysis by the quantitative data. This article presents the development of swimming strokes in two parts. First, the image technology of swimming through artificial analysis. Second, the inertia sensor of swimming through quantitative data analysis. The result shows that the performance of swimming is affected by the stability of the swimmer's strokes. In addition, the swimmer should stabilize the of each stroke in similarity, also maintain the frequency of the strokes, and the consistency of the stroke is also an important factor to the performance. In the maximum performance of swimming, players may adopt different action strategies according to different situations. How to detect and evaluate the swimmer's movement by simulating the competition situation or use the wireless inertial sensor to measure the movement performance, in order to be closer to the actual situation and increase the research value of the swimming movement evaluation, is the main goal of the academic circles at present. |
