In view of disability caregivers have received relatively little attention in leisure related context, this study examined the relationships among the family support, constraints negotiation, and enduring leisure involvement of disability caregivers. Based on the literature review, a research instrument with acceptable reliability and validity was used to collect the data from family caregivers whose handicapped children are receiving special education services in schools. Totals of 418 usable questionnaires were obtained between December 2018 and February 2019. Empirical analysis elucidated an acceptable fit of the structural model. Family support for disability caregivers directly and positively affects constraints negotiation and enduring leisure involvement. Constraints negotiation directly affects enduring leisure involvement and has a partial mediation effect between family support and enduring leisure involvement. Our theoretical models shed light on contribute to efforts to understand leisure behavior of caregivers among family support, constraints negotiation, and enduring leisure involvement. Finally, managerial implications and future research directions are suggested. |
