This research focused on the creation of a new poetry map that combines and enlivens the landscape of Confucian temples with field situational learning and digital materials for the conduction of literacy-based teaching. The researcher analyzed the students’ learning performance under these literacy-based teaching approach and explored the differences in learning well-being, learning task value, and the self-regulation strategies of students. The literacy-based teaching group constituted a class of 21 students from the seventh grade in a junior high school in Taipei, and the control group constituted 38 students from the same school and grade but from two different classes. The research conclusions are valuable and highlight that the application of field situational learning and digital materials for literacy-based teaching could enhance the understanding and learning performance of students as well as promote students’ learning task value. The students’ learning task value and self-regulation strategies had demonstrable positive impacts on their learning well-being. |
