"With the growing development of information and communication technology, more and more transportation has been connected with the internet now. Major car manufacturers around the world are actively involved in the research and development of self-driving, hoping to create a more convenient next-generation transportation. In addition, in terms of regulations, many countries also have begun to formulate relevant regulations to achieve the goal of legalizing driving autonomous cars as soon as possible. However, when it comes to the statues of self-driving cars, in addition to the hardware safety of the vehicle itself, the possible threats of cyber security caused by the connection of vehicles with the internet are also needed to be solved urgently. It is not an issue that only happens to self-driving cars. Any connected vehicle may be exposed to the risk of cyber security. Therefore, this paper intends to focus on the cyber security statutes of self-driving cars, reviewing Road Transport Vehicle Act amended by Japan in 2019 to find the possible direction of law revision in Taiwan in the future." |
