。 In learners’plain style conversation, inappropriate uses were observed in the usage of predicative forms Few studies researched in predicative forms in plain style conversation at present, and it is difficult to teach. This study attempted to classify the usage of the predicative forms and observed the use of them by native speakers and learners. The results show that 'だ/da' is often used unnaturally by learners because of its peculiarity. It was difficult to judge whether the phrases were natural or not for native speakers because many of them were ambiguous. Based on these findings, the following recommendations were made.1. It is necessary to explain the basic functions of predicative forms.2. At the basic level, it is suggested not to use 'だ(da)'. And in the intermediate level and later, the other usages of 'だ(da)' should be introduced, noting that it cannot be used for responding to others.3. It is necessary to reinforce the teaching of monologue speech mode.4. It is beneficial to teach fixed expressions such as '(い)やだ。 /honto(o)da', and 'と思う。/to omou'." |
