"The current research aims to discuss the theoretical concepts, processes, and influences of relational trauma. Through attachment theory, anxiety, and depression, the paper examines their relationships with relational trauma. Results indicate: (1) Relational trauma is closely associated with attachment, anxiety, and depression. (2) Relational trauma derives from the differential map from Chinese culture, which determines the interpersonal distance in the society. (3) Relational trauma leads to the rigid relational boundary that affects individual's interpersonal interactions. Based on the findings, the suggestions on guidance, education, and psychotherapy are discussed." |
