Nagai Kafū‘1897-1959’is one of the most important creators in the modern Japanese literature. During the course of his study, he not only received Western education, but also received Sinology education, and planted his knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, European and American literary. In the novel ''BokutōKidan'', it is clearly seen that it quotes‘Qiuchuang Fengyu Xi’by Lin Dai-yu in ''Dream of the Red Chamber'', and explains the difficulty of translating this poem. Later, in his collection of poems, a collection of‘Qiuchuang Fengyu Xi’translated in Japanese style was included, and the poem was interpreted in a writing style that combines both translation and creation. This thesis starts with‘Qiuchuang Fengyu Xi’as the point in ''BokutōKidan'', analyzes the course of Nagai Kafū’s reading of ''Dream of the Red Chamber'' and translates‘Qiuchuang Fengyu Xi’, and further draws a quotation from ''BokutōKidan''. This thesis compared the writing methods and themes between ''BokutōKidan'',‘Qiuchuang Fengyu Xi’, and ''Dream of the Red Chamber'', and influence of his creation from ''Dream of the Red Chamber''. This thesis is based on the novels created by the creators’personal life experiences from ''BokutōKidan'' and ''Dream of the Red Chamber'', and analyzed the alienation theme created by the sense of heterotopias and the symbolic meaning of ''two worlds'' within the novel. The similarity of the two novels is drawn, and it is further inferred that Nagai Kafūinternalized and translated ''Dream of the Red Chamber'' into his novel ''BokutōKidan'' when he created it, thus establishing Nagai Kafūas a reader, translator. Under the multiple identities of the creators, different interpretation angles of ''Dream of the Red Chamber'' and the possible influence of Japanese translation of ''Dream of the Red Chamber'' on the Japanese literary world were formed. |
