German Culture in the Covid-19 Pandemic: Songs and Neologism

新型冠狀病毒（Coronavirus）對全球造成嚴重疫情，在德國亦同。疫情中德國人忍受、經歷、改變、也創新。我們從德國人在新冠疫情下所創作的歌曲和新興詞語中一窺疫情下的德國新生活。新興詞語可以分為日常、社區、醫用、學術、經濟等幾個類別。我們在分析其構詞和語意的同時，以創作的歌曲來呼應此時德國的日常生活、政界與學界的脈動、以及新冠肺炎對德國經濟面的影響，最後我們談到浩劫中德國人之創造力與求變。

Coronavirus has caused a severe epidemic worldwide, Germany is no exception. During the epidemic, the Germans are suffering, experiencing, and transforming. We have a glimpse of German life under the epidemic by means of examining the songs and new vocabulary generated by Germans in the catastrophe. Emerging neologism can be clustered into daily, community, medical, academic, and economic categories. While analyzing the word formation and semantic elements, we use the song lyrics to echo the following: present daily life in Germany, the development of politics, academia, and the impact of the coronavirus on the German economy. At last we point out the creativity and change of the Germans in the pandemic.
