It is believed that the works has an allusion from the four Heian narratives about incest romance. They are Ise Monogatari, Yamato Monogatari, Utsuho Monogatari, and Genji Monogatari. However, in the ancient Heian period, the end of incestuous romance tends to be tragic, whereas in the modern times of Showa period and Heisei period, it is not always tragic. In this respect, it can be said that a line can be drawn between the works."
