黃靈芝「紫陽花」論──邊界線的浮現

The Boundaries: Huang Ling-Zhi’s AJISAI

黃靈芝，生於1928年，是位多元的文藝愛好者。從出生到日本戰敗，他接受了漫長的日語教育。儘管戰後的國語政策使得日語文學幾乎喪失了所有發表的空間，他仍堅持用日語寫作，年年自費出版作品集。有人認為他對日本殖民時期懷有眷戀，他則表示只是替自己的文學選擇了一個最能適切表達心中所想所感的語言。「紫陽花」這篇小說中，病弱的少年「伸」因肺結核纏身足不出戶，卻暗自戀慕上隔壁少女清脆甜美的國語嗓音。少年的境遇和年輕時也曾罹患肺結核的作者相仿，也有先行研究指出隔壁少女的形象亦確有其人，即為14歲寫出得獎作品『漂浪的小羊』一書的陳蕙貞。此作品亦因此被定位為『戀愛小說』。然而，作者筆下的少年幾近可笑地鎮日幻想，這份描述應不只是單純的一段青春記事而已。本文分析文本中切割當時台灣社會的無形境界線，試圖找出此區塊劃分所蘊藏的深層意義。

Huang Ling-Zhi, he received a long period of Japanese language education. Though the Mandarin-only policy after World War II limited the space of Japanese publication in Taiwan, Huang insisted on writing in Japanese and published works annually at his own expense.In Ajisai, a sickly youth, Shin, bounded in the house due to his tuberculosis, fell in love with the sweet and crisp Mandarin accent of the girl next door. The protagonist's experience is similar to that of the author himself, and there was indeed a neighborhood girl, Chen, who, at age 14, was given an award for her work 'A wandering lamb'.However, the protagonist in the story ridiculously daydreamed all the time. The story should not only be treated a brief account of the youth time of the author. This study focused on the issues of language and boundary represented in the text.
