Both of Japanese language textbook(1900) for elementary school and ”National Reading Book(as Taiwan Textbook (1902~1904))” published as a textbook for Taiwan Public school put the contents such as geography, history and science course as subject matters. The precedent researches point out that ”National Reading Book” aims at assimilation into civilization. Based on this pointing out, this study intends to review the substance of what ”National Reading Book” was influenced by Japanese textbook by subject matter. As a result, the relation of influence was clear to be classified into 4 aspects. And, the contents related to assimilation into civilization are shown in 2 kinds of succession. This shows that a problem called the assimilation into civilization was similar in Japan and Taiwan. Furthermore, I pointed out resemblance with the editing policy with ”National Reading Book” and the textbook of the Japanese Education Ministry editing (1904) and suggested countercurrent relations. |
