Taiwan's technology and manufacturing industries have always been an important foundation for economic stability and construction, and the results of their production operations are highly professional in nature. The technology and manufacturing industries require not only major equipment and precision instruments, but more importantly, in-house engineers, as each process has knowledge-intensive and active elements that need to be covered in order for all outputs to be of good quality. In a highly competitive environment, engineers are also required to be more innovative in order to continue to improve work processes and results for better performance in the technology and manufacturing industries. This study concludes that engineers with proactive personalities trigger better innovation, and also hypothesizes that engineers' job satisfaction moderates the main relationships, and establishes research hypotheses through literature review, questionnaire collection, and statistical analysis. The results of the study suggest that a better proactive personality of engineers has a positive and significant predictive power on innovation ability, especially in the context of higher job satisfaction, which strengthens this relationship. The findings of this study can provide insight into the human resource and innovation management of engineers in Taiwan. |
