Professor Huang, Wei-San is an important scholar of Chinese Medicine, who is of vital significance in the history and the development of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan. Prof. Huang came to Taiwan from San-Dong. He devotes his entire life to researching and writing on the subjects of acupuncture and Nanjing, to name a few. He also edited the“Essence of the Classic Nanjing,”“Elaboration of the Classic Nanjing,”“Science of Acupuncture,”and the“collection of the Theses of Professor Huang, Wei-San.”The systematic integration and research of“Nanjing”is one of his most notable contributions to the TCM community. Prof. Huang had been teaching in local universities in Taiwan since 1986. Educating TCM practitioners had always been part of Prof. Huang's schedule and priority. His passion for teaching fueled by his desire to share his research and to benefit more patients. He could make difficult concepts accessible and to transform them into effective results in the clinic. He integrated the various schools of acupuncture theories and techniques from ancient Chinese medicine books and transformed them into scientific acupuncture and moxibustion therapy. Therefore, he won the title of“master of acupuncture.”Prof. Huang is of vital significance in the history and the development of Chinese Medicine in Taiwan. His efforts and accomplishment in education and academia had set the key foundation and made a strong influence on the later generations of Chinese Medicine professionals. |
