There is no denying that the spirit of the right of the child to be heard in the Convention on the Rights of Child is supposed to be carried out in all aspects of children’s learning. This paper aims to examine the connotations of core competencies in the Curriculum Guidelines of the 12-Year Basic Education from the perspective of the right of the child to be heard, and to discuss both the merits and the deficiencies of such connotations. Related suggestions and conclusions are made at the end of the paper. |
