Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (hereinafter referred as Attention Deficit Disorder) is generally defined as the children who have the symptoms of impulse, lack of concentration, emotional control disorders and other mental problems. Nowadays, many scholars have tried to find different ways to help the children improving the symptoms in order to facilitate their learning in school, and able to interact with others effectively. Obviously, author has invited a teenager who suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder to participate in service learning, improving his hyperactivity symptoms via this testing. This study is conducted by in-depth interview, reflective journal and teacher's observation in order to investigate the effectiveness of service learning. The result reveals service learning can bring many positive effects, encompassing with the emotional control, increase his concentration as well as maintain the relationship with his acquaintances effectively. |
