This study constructs a conceptual model of environmental stressors, affective status, place attachment, and tourism intention among visitors who attended the Taichung City Jazz Festival in 2018. A total of 606 tourists completed questionnaires. The study validated the goodness of fit index of the model by conducting structural equation modeling and path analysis. The results indicate that place attachment and positive emotions mediate the negative effects of environmental stressors on tourism intentions. Festival planners and destination marketers can maintain and improve the physical and social environment of festivals to increase tourists' intentions to revisit a festival or recommend it to others. |
