機車專用道之設計與績效評估

在私人運具旅次需求中，機車具有經濟、方便、機動性高及停放空間小之特性，並且不須如同公車旅次需等車及轉車之困擾，以致機車佔私人運具需求之比例相當高就龐大之機車旅次需求而言，機車所須之行車空間應予兼顧，以維護其行車安全。設置機車專用道將可能改善汽機車混合時的潛在街突與提升車流效率。本研究依據在台北市北平東路之實施經驗建立機車專用道設計方法與標準'並訂定績效評估指標，作為實施之後績效評估之依據。另一方面由北平東路機車專用道之設置經驗及成呆顯示，機車專用道實施之後，在安全與效率兩部份都有提昇'故機車專用道應不失為解決都市交通問題的策略之一。

In the demand of private transport, motorcycles are considered more economical, convenient, efficient, and only need smaller parking space. Unlike the bus trip which has waiting and transit problems. Therefore motorcycles are taking a high percentage ofprivate transport. Due to the large motorcycle trip demand, the driving space needs to be considered safety matters. This research has created the design methods and standard of the motorcycle lane, and has included positive estimated of its result to be compared to the actual results. This research is based on a practical design and a Before-After comparison of the motorcycle lane of Pei-Ping East Road. The results indicate the safety and efficiency have improved after taking the motorcycle lane. In conclusion, the motorcycle should be considered one of the policy options for solving city traffic problems.
