This study presents the estimation for the capacity of exclusive buslane in terms of saturation flow. The flow behavior of buses was generated bymicroscopic simulation model under experimental conditions. The result appearsthat, in condition of priority signals with headway 6 seconds and stopping atthe most frontal available berth, the maximum flow will be 225 buses per hour.The result also shows that, as the G/C ratio and bus platform length increase,and as buses stop at the most frontal available berth, the flow rate of buseswill increase significantly. Same conditions will lead to a significant decreasein bus delays, provided the flow rate of buses remaining fixed. |
