The purpose of this study was to investigate the R&D performance of faculty members in TJU, and to evaluate their influence on assessment for university of Science and Technology. The input and output items were developed according to the literature review, the empirical model were determined by measuring sequence and development with input-output items. DEA with output oriented CCR model was conducted in this empirical analysis, the changes in inputs affect performance of output were also estimated by utilizing DEAP 2.1 version computer software. The empirical results indicated that: 1. The impact of R&D Performance on the assessment for university appears significantly positive influence, there are seven departments obtain A+ technical efficiency in TJU. 2. Based on the R&D Performance of faculty members, A1, A2 and C4 are ranked from top one to top three efficient departments in sequence. 3. Suggestions for improvement were offered, including to achieve the goal of sustainable competitive advantage, relative inefficient departments have to develop effective strategies for improving the R&D performance. |
